The Epiphone Newport Bass California Coral: combining retro charm and vibrant color with serious bass tone

California Coral is not a color that hides, and that's precisely the point of the Newport Bass. The Newport's retro-inspired design evokes the early 60s: rounded contours, a slender body, and an instantly recognizable color. Epiphone has transformed that heritage into a modern bass that stands out on any stage and sounds equally at home in the practice room.

The mahogany body and neck give the Newport a warm, full sound with natural sustain that provides power to the low end. The Bass Sidewinder humbucker in the neck delivers roundness and warmth, while the TB PRO bridge pickup adds punch and definition. The blend knob provides direct control over the ratio between both pickups, resulting in a wide sound palette from soulful and round to present and punchy.

Mahogany neck with a Medium C-profile and maple fretboard with 20 frets on a 34" scale, Historic Bass Tune-O-Matic bridge for stable intonation, and die-cast tuners that keep the Newport firmly in tune. A bass that sounds, plays, and looks like a bass should.

The Newport Bass California Coral is for the bassist who takes their instrument as seriously as their style.
