The neck of the College 2 is a Mahogany Samanguila neck, completed by a wenge fingerboard. The production of the Laqant instruments is still done from Spain, and the savings are purely in tactically reducing the steps in the construction process without sacrificing the quality of the end product. So you get a no-nonsense guitar without unnecessary frills. Great value for money!
