The Distortion Sound of the Late 70s and Early 80s, Reborn
The Vemuram Las Lunas is a distortion pedal that was in development for years with one goal: to authentically replicate the drive sound of "That Era" — the late 70s to early 80s. It's the sound that defined the guitar heroes of that time, and the Las Lunas gives you the tools to recreate it, or to put your own spin on it.
At the heart of the Las Lunas is a powerful 3-band passive EQ with an exceptionally wide range. The BASS knob controls the low frequencies over a wide range, directly addressing the common problem of insufficient bass in distortion pedals. The TONE knob shapes the overall brightness and warmth of the sound over a broad frequency range around the mids, allowing you to drastically alter the total character of your tone. The TREBLE knob refines only the frequency range just above the standard high frequencies, allowing you to fine-tune the tone without affecting the lows or midrange.
Additionally, the Las Lunas features a toggle switch that lets you choose between two distortion characters: DIST A delivers a flat, detailed, and warm drive sound, while DIST B has a sharper, fuller, and more pronounced character. Internal trim pots for each position allow you to further refine the saturation (harmonic distortion). The Las Lunas operates on standard 9V DC (center-negative) and effortlessly combines with a variety of guitars, amplifiers, and effects.
