The 2016 Fender Custom Shop '62 Journeyman Relic Stratocaster is an instrument for the player who knows what they're looking for. The Journeyman Relic finish gives this guitar the look of an instrument that has been on stage for decades, but with the precision and quality of Fender's Custom Shop. The Seafoam Green color is timeless and rare, and the combination with the aged hardware makes this a visually impressive instrument.

Three hand-wound 62/63 Strat pickups deliver the tone that makes this period so iconic: bright, dynamic, and full of character. The 9.5" radius fretboard plays comfortably and modern enough for technical playing, while the Large C neck profile offers a full, familiar grip. The AA Flame Maple wood of the neck also gives the instrument a visually premium look that you immediately notice.

The body is alder with an AA Flame Maple neck and a rosewood fretboard with Micarta dot inlays. 21 frets, a bone nut (1.65"), relic'd vintage-style tuners with Fender logo, and a CS Vintage Strat relic'd bridge complete the specs. The electronics consist of volume, two tone controls, and a 5-way pickup selector. Supplied with original hardshell case.

This instrument is in very good condition. In addition to the intentional Journeyman Relic finish, there are minimal additional signs of wear visible that are consistent with a guitar that has been played with care. All parts are completely original. For shipping or collection, the guitar is inspected and, if necessary, set up by our technician.
