Gibson builds Custom Shop Les Pauls, but Dijkmans Guitars personally assembled this 1957 Les Paul Custom Reissue with the Murphy Lab: Heavy Antique White finish, two Gibson Dirty Fingers humbuckers in zebra-style, and Murphy Lab Light Aging. While the standard '57 Custom Reissue is already an exceptional instrument, this combination makes it truly unique. Connoisseurs will recognize the nod: Heavy Antique White, Dirty Fingers, ebony fretboard. A silent tribute to one of the greatest guitarists who ever played a Les Paul Custom. The Dirty Fingers are not subtle vintage pickups – they are raw, dynamic, and full of character, and combined with the Heavy Antique White finish and the lightly aged nitrocellulose lacquer, you get a guitar that looks as good as it sounds.

The sound is direct and present. The Dirty Fingers humbuckers deliver a high output signal with an open, layered tone that responds exceptionally well in both clean and overdrive situations. The solid mahogany body without weight relief provides a full, resonant fundamental tone and excellent sustain. The Chunky C-neck feels familiar to those accustomed to vintage Les Pauls, and the ebony fretboard gives the attack a tight, direct response not found with rosewood.

The body is constructed from solid 1-piece mahogany with a carved mahogany top, attached with hot hide glue. The neck is also 1-piece mahogany in the Chunky C-profile, with an ebony fretboard at a 24.75" scale length and a 12" radius. The 22 frets are surrounded by 1950s mother-of-pearl block inlays. The electronics consist of a hand-wired harness with CTS 500K pots and Bumblebee capacitors, controlled via two volume and two tone controls with a 3-way toggle switch. The No-Wire ABR-1 bridge and gold hardware complete the picture. Delivered with the Gibson Custom Historic Brown Lifton hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.
