Steve Vai's Signature Guitar in Stallion White: A Pre-Owned PIA That Fully Lives Up to Its Reputation
The Ibanez PIA3761 in Stallion White is not a guitar that needs an introduction. Anyone familiar with Steve Vai knows what the PIA means: decades of collaboration between one of the world's most demanding guitarists and Ibanez, condensed into one instrument. This particular model is pre-owned and in good condition, checked by our luthier and fully ready to play. An opportunity to get your hands on a true signature guitar for less than the new price.
The PIA sounds exactly as you'd expect from a Vai guitar: fast, precise, and with a dynamic range that impresses both clean and overdriven. The three DiMarzio UtoPIA pickups were specially developed for this model in close collaboration with Vai himself. The bridge and neck pickups are the Ceramic version, offering a tight, defined attack and plenty of output for technical playing across all registers. The middle pickup is the Alnico version, warmer and rounder in character, giving the in-between positions of the 5-way switch a unique, distinctive sound. The Edge tremolo is one of the most stable and responsive systems on the market, ideal for the extensive vibrato and divebomb techniques for which Vai is known. The Stallion White finish and the distinctive floral inlays on the neck also make this instrument visually unmistakable.
The PIA3761 is built on an Alder body with a neck-through maple neck and a Macassar ebony fretboard with 24 jumbo frets and a 430 mm radius. The scale length is 648 mm. The Edge tremolo with locking nut ensures stable tuning even with intensive use. The electronics consist of the three DiMarzio UtoPIA pickups, a volume and tone control, and a 5-way switch. Delivered as is, including any original accessories that belong with the instrument.
The Ibanez PIA in Stallion White is rare enough not to wait long.
