The semi-hollow that connects three worlds: vintage warmth, modern versatility, and PRS precision
The PRS Special Semi-Hollow in River Blue Pearl is one of the most versatile guitars PRS has ever built. With a combination of three different pickups, a well-thought-out electronics system, and the characteristic semi-hollow construction, this guitar offers a sound palette that few guitars can match. River Blue Pearl is a finish that looks different in the light every time, from deep blue to subtle mother-of-pearl.
The sound of the Special Semi-Hollow is immediately recognizable as PRS, but with added depth and air thanks to the hollow chamber in the mahogany body. The McCarty III humbuckers at the bridge and neck provide warmth, sustain, and definition, while the PRS Narrowfield in the middle adds a single-coil character without the typical hum. Via the 5-way blade switch and two mini-toggle coil-tap switches, dozens of tone options are available, from glassy clean to full jazz tone.
The guitar is built on a mahogany body with a maple top and a set-neck mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard. The Pattern Regular neck has a comfortable C-shape that is suitable for a wide range of playing styles. The 22 frets, 25" scale length, 10" radius, and PRS Phase III locking tuners ensure stable tuning and a playing feel that immediately feels familiar. The PRS Stoptail bridge is simple and reliable. Delivered with a hardcase.
The PRS Special Semi-Hollow is for the guitarist who doesn't want to choose between vintage character and modern flexibility.
