The Lakewood C-32 Custom: A Concert Guitar with Indian Rosewood That Sounds Bigger Than Its Size

Lakewood builds its guitars by hand in Giessen, Germany, and the C-32 Custom demonstrates the results. The compact Concert size combines AAA European Spruce with AAA Indian Rosewood back and sides, an open-pore satin finish, and an L.R. Baggs Anthem SL pickup. For less than €3,000, you get a fully handmade instrument that is meticulously thought out in every detail. Includes gigbag.

The Concert size gives the C-32 an intimate, direct playing experience — but the sound is anything but small. The basses are tight and defined, the trebles clear and articulate without becoming harsh. The AAA Indian Rosewood back and sides add depth and complexity, while the Scalloped X-Brace allows the Spruce top to resonate optimally. The open-pore satin finish ensures you truly feel connected to the wood. The L.R. Baggs Anthem SL accurately captures that character for amplified use.

The Cedro neck with a C-shape profile and Ebony fretboard plays smoothly across 20 frets and a scale length of 25.6 inches. The Lakewood ProTune II Nickel tuners ensure stable tuning. The set-neck construction and Ebony bridge contribute to excellent sustain and intonation.

The Lakewood C-32 Custom is a guitar you'll want to pick up again and again during every session.
