Walrus Audio Ages: Five Overdrive Characters in One Pedal, from Whisper-Soft to Thick and Chewy

The Walrus Audio Ages is no ordinary overdrive. Where most pedals offer one tonal character that you can drive more or less, the Ages gives you five fundamentally different clipping modes, each with its own personality. From a gentle, compressed silicon soft clip to a heavy, thick hard clip with maximum saturation, the Ages covers the entire spectrum from a light boost to robust distortion, all in one compact size.

The five modes are carefully designed to each have their own dynamic character. Modes I and II are low-gain variants with silicon and LED soft clipping respectively: smooth and compressed, or open and sparkling. Modes III and IV switch to high-gain with the same clipping options, but with more saturation and punch. Mode V is the most extreme setting: high-gain silicon hard clipping with heavy compression, a thick and chewy sound that sits perfectly in any mix. The Ages responds excellently to your guitar's volume knob, making it particularly expressive.

The Ages has standard 1/4" input and output and is powered via 9V DC. The controls consist of Volume, Tone, and Gain, supplemented by the five-position mode switch. Compact, robust, and versatile enough to be the only overdrive on your board.
