The combination of a poplar body and a neck with a roasted maple fretboard gives this instrument a distinct look. Whether you are playing your first bass lines or looking for a flexible instrument for rehearsals, this Saint invites you to discover how much you can change with your touch and pickup balance.

The P-style pickup forms the basis for full, round low tones, while the J-style pickup adds more definition and bite. Together, the hand-wound Alnico pickups give you room to move from a solid accompanying groove to a brighter sound that remains audible in the mix. That makes the bass usable for a wide range of styles, from warm, simple lines to rhythmic playing where every note needs to fall exactly into place. The CTS-style potentiometers are there to further control that tone while playing.

The Ashdown The Saint has a 34-inch scale length and 20 frets. Both the neck and fretboard are made of roasted maple, with 6 mm black dot inlays on the fretboard. The body is made of poplar, and the headstock features a matching finish according to the product information. The design really comes into its own on this Shell Pink version. The available information does not contain data on the exact type of bridge and tuning machines; we prefer not to fill in those specifications based on guesswork.

Are you looking for a bass that combines the familiar P-J foundation with a fresh look? Pick up The Saint and discover which side of its sound suits your playing best.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2160/4507/files/IMG_9843_4a825ee0-9695-4466-8521-a62cc0666072.jpg?v=1790862824
