The Horizon Custom '87 is an homage to ESP's legendary archtop shred machine from the second half of the 1980s – the period when ESP made its name in the guitar world. The sleek black finish gives this instrument a timeless, no-nonsense look that perfectly matches the guitar's shred character. Neck-thru-body construction, Floyd Rose and Seymour Duncan pickups: this is an '87 ready for the 21st century.
Tonally, the Horizon Custom '87 is a fast, powerful guitar. The Seymour Duncan Hot Rails (neck) and Custom Trembucker (bridge) together deliver a powerful, enthusiastic sound with tons of output and definition. The push-pull tone control allows you to split both pickups into single coils for added versatility. The Floyd Rose 1000 bridge gives you complete expressive freedom for deep dives and wild bends.
The alder body with neck-thru construction ensures maximum sustain and a seamless transition to the higher frets. The extra-thin maple neck has a 25.5" scale length and a Macassar ebony fretboard with 24 extra jumbo stainless steel frets for maximum playing speed. Get ready, get shreddy!
