Together with Gibson, we have joined forces for a unique selection of Murphy Lab guitars that are exclusively available at Dijkmans Guitars. The ES-355 was introduced by Gibson in 1958 as the absolute flagship of the ES series: ebony fretboard, gold hardware, Mother of Pearl block inlays, and a 5-ply binding that unmistakably distinguishes the guitar from its siblings. This particular model adds a tough Viking Red finish, a color that was not originally in the Gibson catalog, making this instrument even more exclusive.

The Murphy Lab Light Aged treatment gives the guitar just enough patina to feel authentic: subtle wear in the nitrocellulose lacquer, lightly aged gold hardware, and a playing feel reminiscent of a well-played vintage instrument. Tonally, this ES-355 has everything you would expect: the neck pickup is silky smooth in the highs with a fine, woody tone that is perfect for jazz and blues, while the bridge pickup sounds open and bright with a touch of jangle for pop, rock, and country. The two unpotted Custombucker humbuckers provide a dynamic sound that responds to every nuance of your playing.
