The Hummingbird in its most powerful material combination: Adirondack Red Spruce on rosewood with a stage-grabbing Tri-Burst Gloss
The Gibson Hummingbird has been one of the world's most iconic acoustic guitars since 1960. This Rosewood Red Spruce version combines two of the most coveted tonewoods available. Adirondack Red Spruce is known for its exceptional stiffness, low density, and enormous headroom: it responds with equal control to the lightest touch and the most aggressive strum. The solid rosewood back and sides add harmonic richness, shimmering highs, and warm, defined mids that elevate the Hummingbird's sound to a new level.
The characteristic square-shoulder body provides broad projection and a full, powerful sound that immediately fills the room. The famous Hummingbird floral pickguard, Mother-of-Pearl Split Parallelogram inlays, and gold hardware give this instrument the visual richness befitting its Tri-Burst Gloss finish. The LR Baggs VTC pickup faithfully captures the Hummingbird's acoustic voice for stage or studio use.
The mahogany neck features a Rounded profile with a rosewood fretboard, 20 frets, and a 12-inch radius over a 24.75-inch scale length. Grover tuners and the dovetail construction complete an instrument that impresses both visually and acoustically. Supplied with a Gibson hardshell case.
