Laney Ironheart LOUDPEDAL Foundry
A 60 WATT 2 CHANNEL AMPLIFIER IN PEDAL SIZE!
We couldn't believe it when we got our hands on the Laney Lionheart Loudpedal, but it's true: this compact box contains a complete 60 Watt guitar amplifier!
Actually, the size of the Loudpedal is the only aspect in which it does not resemble a traditional amplifier. Just look at the specifications: 60 Watts of power, both a clean and an overdriven channel, a passive 3-band tone stack and an 8 ohm output for plugging directly into a guitar cabinet. You also have access to a high-quality effects loop, aux-in and headphone connections and a DI output with switchable speaker simulation. These connections make the Loudpedal extra attractive because you can use it in just about any situation. It functions as a traditional amp, practice amp, recording tool... the possibilities are numerous to say the least! And best of all, it simply fits in your gig bag.
The sound of the Loudpedal is clearly based on Laney's Ironheart series. That means full, punchy cleans and an overdrive with a saturated, contemporary character. But make no mistake; you can really blast the clean channel with the gain control and the built-in boost for almost AC/DC-like sounds. Channel 2 also contains a lot of beautiful things; the range of overdrive is remarkably large and the clean-up from your volume knob is - as with any beautiful amp - beautiful. We actually summarize the Laney Ironheart Loudpedal in 3 words: It's possible!
