Martin D-10E Retro with solid Spruce top and E1 Electronics!

The Martin D-10E Retro is a distinctive acoustic-electric dreadnought from the revamped Martin Road Series that combines classic Martin tonality with modern playability and reliable amplified performance. This guitar is ideal for players seeking an instrument with full projection, warm mid-tones, and dynamic response for both strumming and fingerpicking at rehearsals, gigs, and in the studio.

In its construction, the D-10E Retro features a solid spruce top that works with solid sapele back and sides, resulting in a balanced tone with strong bass response and clear upper and mid-frequencies. The scalloped X-bracing enhances the top's resonance, contributing to a powerful, open sound that projects well in various playing conditions. The Performing Artist neck profile with a satin finish feels comfortable and accessible, offering a smooth playing experience across the entire neck length. For amplified applications, this model is equipped with Martin E1 electronics with a built-in tuner, allowing you to shape a natural acoustic sound directly when playing into a PA or amplifier, and a softshell case is included for safe transport.

The difference from the Sapele variant of this model — the Martin D-10E Retro Sapele — lies mainly in the choice of the top wood. The standard D-10E Retro has a top made of solid spruce combined with sapele back and sides, which provides an extra dynamic sound with more clarity and response in attack and harmonic detail. The Retro Sapele, on the other hand, features a solid sapele top and sapele back and sides, which gives the guitar a slightly warmer, more direct, and more balanced tonality with a richer mid-range and a different character balance, while still offering powerful projection and reliable performance.
