The McCarty 594 in Charcoal: Vintage Tone with an Uncompromising Finish
Charcoal isn't a color for everyone. It's a color for the guitarist who knows that an instrument doesn't have to scream to impress. On the figured maple top of the PRS McCarty 594, the Charcoal C.A.B. finish boasts a deep, smoky elegance that sets it apart from anything else in the store. But the 594 ultimately sells itself through its sound, and this is no exception.
The two TCI-tuned 58/15 LT humbuckers are at the core of what makes the McCarty 594 so special. "Low Turn" means a milder output than you'd expect from most humbuckers, resulting in a tone that is warm, open, and layered. Via the push/pull tone potentiometers, you can switch both pickups independently from humbucker to single coil, offering a wide range of vintage-oriented sounds. The TCI tuning (Tuned Capacitance and Inductance) ensures that the split-coil positions sound more convincing than ever: clear, vibrant, and completely hum-free.
The 24.594" scale length and the asymmetrical Pattern Vintage neck profile are directly inspired by the best LP-style guitars from the 1950s. The profile is slightly thicker on the bass side than on the treble side, allowing the neck to rest comfortably in the hand along its entire length. The rosewood fretboard with 22 frets, 10" radius, and Bird Inlays plays familiar and fast. The PRS 2-Piece Cast Zinc stoptail bridge sounds fuller than a standard T.O.M. bridge and has a direct impact on the instrument's resonance. PRS Vintage Style tuners complete the traditional look and feel.
The PRS McCarty 594 Charcoal comes with a hardshell case. Dark in character, golden in tone.
