Warm Audio C1 MOD

The Warm Audio C1 MOD gives analog chorus and vibrato more room to breathe

The Warm Audio C1 MOD brings chorus and vibrato together in a compact, fully analog effects pedal. The interesting part is not just the classic sound design: with a switchable preamp and adjustable input impedance, you can also determine how the pedal reacts to your guitar and the rest of your signal chain. This makes it an attractive choice for players who like to go beyond one fixed modulation sound.

The chorus adds movement and width without your picking attack getting lost, while vibrato makes the tone itself wave. Both modes have their own depth and rate controls, so you can go from subtle movement to a pronounced pulsating effect without having to find the same settings every time. The LED shows the selected mode and speed. With two outputs, you can also utilize the spatial side of the effect in a stereo setup.

Under the hood, the C1 MOD uses a recreation of the MN3007 BBD chip. The analog preamp can be bypassed via the vintage/modern switch; in addition, there is a preamp level control and a high/low switch for input sensitivity. The impedance is switchable between 50 kΩ and 1.1 MΩ Hi-Z, even when the effect is in bypass. You connect your guitar to one input and choose from two outputs. The specified power supply is 9 V at 200 mA. A versatile modulation pedal for those who want to fine-tune chorus and vibrato with feel.
